Regional Research Program

The Regional Research Program is implemented as part of the Erasmus+ HWCA Regional Program for Continuous Professional Development and Research and is coordinated by the Kazakh-German University (DKU) through the Center for Natural Resources and Sustainable Development (CRS) (https://crs.dku.kz/ru/).

The program aims to create a sustainable regional research ecosystem capable of responding to current challenges in transboundary water management, climate adaptation, and regional security.

Program objective

To create a favorable environment for the development of joint scientific research, preparation of publications, generation of knowledge, and strengthening of academic cooperation in order to address water, climate, and security-related challenges in Central Asia.

Main objectives

  • Developing joint research projects and publications on issues of regional significance.
  • Supporting young researchers through mentoring and expert guidance.
  • Creating a platform for sharing scientific results and data.
  • Formulating scientific recommendations for regional policy and decision-making.
