Training of Trainers on Sustainable River Basin Management will be held in DKU

On 14 August 2026, the Kazakh-German University (DKU) in Almaty will host a Training of Trainers (ToT) on the training module “Fair and Sustainable Management of the Lake Chad and Aral Sea River Basins.”

The training is organized within the framework of the DKU–IHE Delft and Erasmus+ HWCA projects — Strengthening Higher Education in the Water Sector for Climate Resilience and Security in Central Asia.

The main objective of the ToT is to exchange teaching experience in the field of water resources management and provide participants with an opportunity to explore a new training module developed by an international team of experts from Central Asia, Africa, and Europe.

During the training, participants will discuss approaches to teaching sustainable river basin management, exchange practical experience, and explore the methodological materials and approaches included in the new training module.

The training is expected to bring together five representatives of Erasmus+ partner universities from Central Asia.
